DESIGN AND CONSTRUCTION MANAGEMENT OF LAND PORT OF ENTRY
CHURUBUSCO, NY

The scope of work included a design and construction administration of a 6,600 SF Land Port of Entry in Churubusco, NY.  The main port building is a two story structure designed to staff CBP officers to support the operations of the port on a 24/7 basis.  The new facility is designed and equipped to process both commercial truck and passenger vehicles. The design included significant site lighting and surveillance, building security and communication systems. The building includes detention facilities, search and interview rooms.  The facility includes an inspection garage for search of vehicles. In addition, the work involved significant permitting requirements including wetlands mitigation, endangered species issues, DOT, and site acquisition support for the US Army Corps of Engineers.

The facility is a GBCI LEED certified project.
